February Monthly Reminders
Happy February! This month is such a wonderful time to tell the people you love how much you care about them. We will start homework this month. Homework will be Mondays and Wednesdays. Your child will need to bring in their homework the next day. You will find what the homework is by looking at your child's homework calendar. Monday night's homework will be writing and illustrating one sentence. Your child will write one sentence using one of the sight words of the week. Wednesday night's homework is a letter collage. Your child will make a picture collage on the paper provided. They will then make a list of words that begin with that letter on the back of the page. You can help your child write these words on the back of the collage.
In order for the homework to be successful you will need to help your child clean out their SURF Board daily. The SURF Board is supposed to be cleaned out daily anyway, so this will be a normal procedure. Thank you for your support at home. I am hoping this will help with the transition to first grade.
