May Monthly Reminders
The year is winding down and the time has come for your sweet Kindergarten child to become a First Grader! We have a busy month of fun activites as well as learning activities. Please look at the schedule of events below so you are aware of all the activities.
Please keep reading with your child each night. This will help your child enjoy reading and the transition to first grade reading will be much easier. Please work on counting and identifying numbers 1-100. This summer you can always use a variety of websites to reinforce what your child has already learned.
Thank you for a wonderful first year at St. Mary's. I cannot thank you all enough for being such wonderful parents. Thank you for all your guidance and prayers this year. I have enjoyed teaching your child and getting to know so much about them.

May Kindergarten Skills
Sight Words: brown, orange, black, purple, pink, gray, five, seven, nine, six, eight, ten (Remember you can always review all the sight words that are in your child's Surf BOARD)
Letters: (review all the letters taught) Please take time to help you child practice writing each letter upper and lower case.
Word Families: -ub (Help your child come up with words that have the same ending)
Phonograms: review all taught (There was a packet that was sent home for you to use to practice with your child.)
Please take the time to practice colors, shapes, counting, helping your child to write their first name and last name, and identifying the letters and sounds in the alphabet.
We are going to learn about Frogs.
